8-Bit Gaming Theme

The 8-Bit Gaming Theme is a browser theme available on the Google Chrome Web Store. The theme features a sleek, dark upper tab background complemented by a dynamic combination of blue and white accents, evoking a futuristic and immersive gaming atmosphere. On the new tab home screen, users are greeted with a vibrant 3D flat plain of blue accented by white sparkles, symbolizing clouds, creating a minimalist yet striking aesthetic that feels both modern and nostalgic.

This project holds a special significance for me, as it was my very first attempt at creating a Chrome theme. Initially, it was nothing more than a personal experiment—a test of my ability to design and implement custom browser themes. However, after seeing the potential in what I had created, I decided to publish it to the Chrome Web Store. What started as a casual test evolved into a project I’m proud to share with others.

Since its release, the 8-Bit Gaming Theme has over 100 installs as of November 2023. This milestone shows me that even small experiments can have an impact.
