Welcome to JRWS MC! We are a private Minecraft server owned and operated by Jonathan Stinson. This server is dedicated to creating a fun, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. By joining JRWS MC, you agree to follow the rules outlined below. These rules may be updated at any time, and your continued participation constitutes acceptance of any changes. Violations of these rules may result in a warning, mute, temporary ban, or permanent ban, depending on the severity of the offense. The Discord server is an extension of the JRWS MC community, and all general community guidelines apply. Violations on Discord may result in similar moderation actions. You are required to be verified on the Discord server to access the Minecraft server.
1. General Community Guidelines and Respectful Behavior
1.1 All participants must uphold respect, inclusivity, and decorum within the community.
1.2 Spamming messages, links, or emojis is prohibited.
1.3 Sharing personal information or malicious content is strictly forbidden.
1.4 Discussions on controversial topics such as politics, religion, or interpersonal drama are not allowed.
1.5 All conversations should remain civil, inclusive, and family-friendly.
1.6 Harassment, bullying, or impersonation of other players is prohibited.
1.7 Public chat must be conducted in English to ensure clear communication.
1.8 Chats must remain civil, inclusive, and appropriate for all ages.
1.9 Spamming, malicious content, or disruptive links are not allowed.
1.10 Usernames, skins, chat messages, and builds must be appropriate and non-offensive.
1.11 Content promoting racism, sexism, hate speech, or discrimination is forbidden.
2. Griefing, Stealing, Fair Gameplay, and Safety
2.1 Griefing within claimed areas is strictly prohibited. Unclaimed areas are not protected, and griefing is permissible within them.
2.2 Stealing is allowed only if the player or team being stolen from is actively online and present during the theft. Stealing from offline players is forbidden and treated as griefing.
2.3 Using cheats, hacks, or modifications providing unfair advantages is prohibited.
2.4 Builds causing excessive lag or degrading server performance are not allowed.
2.5 Harming or stealing pets, animals, or name-tagged mobs owned by others is prohibited.
2.6 Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics is forbidden. Report any issues to staff immediately.
2.7 Practices like guarding player graves and spawn killing are not allowed.
2.8 Building unbreakable traps or obstructing access to key locations (e.g., spawn points) is prohibited.
2.9 Do not construct builds or mechanisms that interfere with other players' ability to play, navigate, or enjoy the game.
2.10 Any form of scamming or deceptive trades is forbidden.
2.11 Players must not engage in behavior that risks the server's safety or violates its intended fairness and enjoyment.
2.12 Owner discretion applies to any behavior deemed harmful to the community that isn't explicitly covered by the rules.
3. Reporting Violations
Players are encouraged to report rule violations or concerning behavior to staff promptly. When reporting, provide detailed information and evidence (e.g., screenshots, chat logs) to assist staff in addressing the issue effectively.
4. Miscellaneous
All decisions made by staff and the server owner are final. Players may appeal a moderation action only once. After the appeal, the decision is final and cannot be revisited. Rules are not exhaustive; players are expected to use common sense. The server owner, Jonathan Stinson, is not obligated to provide compensation for any reason. Repeated challenges to staff decisions or hostile behavior toward staff will result in disciplinary actions. By continuing to play on JRWS MC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these rules. Thank you for helping maintain a positive, enjoyable, and respectful community!
